Who is Teribear?

TERIBEAR is a „teddy star“ and also the main symbol of a project of the same name organised by the Tereza Maxová Foundation which appropriately combines children with current fashion trends. The „TERIBEAR“ teddy bear was designed by the Fabrika advertising agency from a pattern created by the Czech artist, Dita Štěpánová www.ditaart.com.

What is the aim of the TERIBEAR project?

The aim of the project is to support a good cause in a innovative way and to make potential customers interested in products from the TERIBEAR charity collection. A special design, a high-quality product, an excellent price and help for disadvantaged children – these are the key attributes of this unique collection which is intended for the general public. The TERIBEAR project is also a unique CRM (cause related marketing) project which arose in close cooperation between the Tereza Maxová Foundation and SPAR ČOS.

What does the TERIBEAR collection contain?

The TERIBEAR collection has been specially put together so that it has a diverse mix of products that include both trendy „fashion“ objects and also things for everyday use. For example, among the trendy products are T-shirts (specially designed for couples), mugs, fashion accessories, Christmas cards. Products intended for everyday use include small iced gingerbread, paper bags, Christmas and wrapping paper. Buying these products – whether it is for your own personal use or as a gift for a friend – will, depending on the number of items purchased, increase the project´s proceeds. So everyone can affect the total size of the gift that will then be handed over to the foundation.

Where will the proceeds from the project go?

The proceeds from the sale of this collection will go to the development and support of substitute family care, especially making foster care more professional. Another area of support will be preventing children from being taken from their families. Both these areas (prevention and support for substitute families) follow a clear goal which is to reduce the number of children growing up in institutional care.
