How does the Fund help?
The goal of the Tereza Maxová Foundation Fund for Zlín Region is to support the all-around development of underprivileged children growing up in the Zlín Region, especially via the support of specific projects in these three high-priority areas:
- Prevention of unnecessary removal of a child from its family. In this area the Foundation provides financial support to non-governmental non-profit organizations that provide consultancy and tailor-made assistance to families in crisis or all sorts of therapies etc.
- Support of the substitute family care. This area covers mainly support of widening the foster family care and its professionalization.
- Compensation for the insufficiencies of instituonal care is an area where the Foundation gives direct individual support to children and young people growing up outside of their family with primary focus on investments in their education and preparation for their independent life after leaving the institution.
For who specifically is support from the Tereza Maxová Foundation Fund for the Zlín Region designated?
The money is designated for non-profit organizations, foster families and institutional facilities that are working intensively on improving the all-around development of specific disadvantaged children. This particularly concerns support on the path to attainment of higher education and also support of leisure activities, hobbies, etc. And last but not least the Fund supports young people in easier entry into life after completion of institutional care as well as the return of children that are growing up outside of a home back to biological families or their transfer to foster families.
What can be supported out of the Tereza Maxová Foundation Fund for the Zlín Region?
Support of upbringing, education, all-around development of children, special therapies and professional services, seminars, training, services focused on changing the system of caring for children in the CR, etc.
Regional cooperation
Even in spite of the fact that the Tereza Maxová Foundation supports projects and activities that have a national nature, it also pays attention to support and assistance in individual regions. At this point in time the foundation administers 3 regional funds that are specific to a particular region (Zlín , South-Moravian and Moravian-Silesian). Even though at this moment regional funds have not been established for all 13 regions of the Czech Republic, it is a clear goal to engage in such activities for regions in the future.
The Tereza Maxová Foundation Fund for the Zlín Region was established with the goal of contributing to improving the quality of life of underprivileged and abandoned children growing up in the given region. We guarantee the donors and supporters of this fund that their support will be used transparently and in a targeted way within the Zlín Region.
