Oriflame for Children Fund

  • How does the Fund help?
    The ORIFLAME For Children Fund strives for the maximum possible financial support of underprivileged and abandoned children, namely within the scope of three basic directions of foundation support: prevention of the undesirable taking away of children from biological families, substitute family care and compensation of the drawbacks of institutional care.
  • Who did the Fund helped?
    • “Volunteerism” project - Malíček civic association
      The project, which is already in its fourth year of implementation at the Children’s Center in Prague 4 - Krč, has as its goal to provide abandoned children with the lost love, attention and the feeling that they have someone just for themselves. The project is based on the principle of regular visits of trained volunteers to the infant care facility. These volunteers always spend at least three hours per week with a specific child (which is assigned to the volunteer after consultation with an infant care facility psychologist), during which time the volunteer is 100% dedicated to the child. There are now 80 volunteers participating in the project who take care of 80 children in this way.
    • “Family Center” project – Strašecí Children’s home
      This is an innovative project carried out in partnership with the Člověk hledá člověka [Finding each other] civic association (www.clovekhledacloveka.cz) , which includes all three directions of foundation support - prevention, substitute family and compensation. A so called Family Center will be built on the grounds of the Nové Strašecí Children’s home, which will care for endangered children, endangered families and foster families. The project’s advantage is its specificity - the program will pertain to one children’s home in which there are 30 children, and 50 members of families of children that are in immediate danger and, last but not least, 10 foster families. The project’s clear goal is to help remedy the weaknesses of the child care system in the Czech Republic and to also initiate this project in the future in additional children’s homes.
