The company Galileo Czech and Slovak Republic significantly supported the Foundation

We would like to kindly thank Mr. Bohuslav Šantrůček and the entire team at Galileo Czech and Slovak Republic for the long-term support to abandoned and disadvantaged children.
On November 15, 2011,at the occasion of the concert of Mr. Karel Gott, the patron of the Foundation, Mrs. Teresa Maxova, received a check in the amount of CZK 700.109. The check sums up the proceeds from the project called "Book for a good cause.“ The idea behind the project is very simple. For each segment reserved in the reservation system Galileo GDS, the company pays CZK 1 to the Foundation.
The words of thanks are best captured by the patron of the Foundation, Tereza Maxová in a personal letter to Galileo:
Dear Galileo,
it was more than when three years ago when we have begun work on the new project "Book for a good cause." At that time, I have not realized what a successful project are we starting and how great will be the support the Foundation will receive thanks to it and especially, how many children have we helped so far and how many more will have at least a little easier life. As is evident from our name, since our establishment in 1997 we are helping abandoned children. Because not every child is lucky to be born to a complete family and is surrounded by love, tenderness, and care. The conditions when starting a life are therefore quite different for those who receive love and care in comparison with those who do not. Of course, the feelings, home, and family life cannot be replaced by any money, but still: If a you enter the new reality a little better prepared, for example by receiving a better education or a chance to be involved in and ordinary life, everything is much better.
What I like about the Galileo project is its wide application: For anyone who reserves a ticket through this system actually helps the Foundation. Moreover, it is great that through this project, the support for the needy becomes an everyday part of life. Thank you for everything, Galileo!
